Here’s what the curator of Sunday Evening Roast, Elena Tomorowitz had to say about this Sunday:
“This will be my last Sunday Roast before shipping off to Mississippi, so what better way to celebrate than with three of Cleveland’s most talented fiction writers?”
Dan Chaon is the author, most recently, of the national bestseller Await Your Reply, which was named one of the ten best books of the year by Publisher’s Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, Janet Maslin of The New York Times, and Laura Miller of salon.com, as well as being named among the year’s best fiction by the American Library Association and such newspapers as The Washington Post and The Chicago Tribune. Jim Mason is the author of “Positively No Dancing”. He recently transplanted to Cleveland after living in Brooklyn, NY for 25 years. He is a graduate of Oberlin College and currently resides on the Lake Erie coast. He spends his time writing both fiction and poetry. Imad Rahman is the author of the collection of short stories titled, “I Dream of Microwaves”. He is an assistant professor of English at Cleveland State University, where he directs the Imagination Writers Conference. He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, and holds a Master of Arts from Ohio University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Florida. He was the James C. McCreight Fiction Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001–2002. |
