2015 Waterloo Arts Fest Juried and Members Exhibition

June 5, 2015: Opening Reception and Walk All Over Waterloo
Waterloo Arts invites members and non-members to submit artwork for the 2015 Waterloo Arts Juried and Members Exhibition. This is a unique opportunity for artists to exhibit work and receive substantial exposure during the district’s largest community event welcoming more than 5,000 attendees. Over 30 selected works will be exhibited in the Waterloo Arts Gallery and a top prize of $1,000 to be awarded.
JUROR: Theresa Bembnister – Associate Curator, Akron Art Musuem. Theresa Bembnister received her M.A. in art history and museum studies from Case Western Reserve University and a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her writing has appeared in Cleveland’s Scene, Kansas City’s Pitch, the Kansas City Star, Glasstire.com and Arthopper.org.

ELIGIBILITY:
ο Artists must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the US or Canada
ο Artist may submit up to three (3) pieces of original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media
ο Time based, electronic media, performance art, and installations will NOT be accepted.
ο Work exceeding 36 inches in any dimension may be excluded due to space restrictions. Work may not exceed seventy pounds in weight.
ο All work must have been executed within the last 5 years and not been shown previously at Waterloo Arts
ο Entries must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
ο Artists must grant permission for Waterloo Arts to use their images and information in promotional materials
ο All selection and cash awards will be made at the discretion of the jurors and will be final.
FEES: $20: 2015 Waterloo Arts Members $30: Non Members
Artists may submit up to three pieces. Artists who have already paid their 2015 Membership will receive a refund of $10 after submitting and paying the entry fee through Paypal. Artists who wish to become 2015 Waterloo Arts Member need only pay the $30 entry fee. For more information on Membership Fees and Benefits please see How to Become a Member.
ENTRY PROCESS: All entries must be submitted electronically through Entrythingy.com. Entry fees will be made through PayPal during the submission process. For more information on how to submit your work with the Entrythingy tool see their tutorial videos here. Use of Entrythingy tool for submission purposes is free to the artists.
