Delivery of Work: Wednesday, December 28, 2016, 12-7 PM
Waterloo Arts is requesting artists’ qualifications for the fifth annual DayGlo show. Artists may submit up to three images, a curriculum vitae, a link to a website, a link to their online profile, and/or any combination of these. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of jurors to determine whether the artist will be invited to submit work for hanging. Artists may submit images of existing work that has been executed with fluorescent media or they may submit images that are representative of their work in general. The artist may also provide a concept description of work the intend to execute for this exhibit or a description of how they and their work are particularly qualified for inclusion in this exhibit. Artists are not expected to submit images of the work they intend to exhibit, merely present enough information so jurors can make a decision about the artist’s qualifications for inclusion.
While Waterloo Arts would like to include all interested artists, gallery space is limited. To keep the show fresh and allow new artists to participate, previous inclusion in the DayGlo show does not guarantee entry this year. Accepted artists will be notified via email and given an idea of the approximate amount of space that will be available for their work. Waterloo Arts will again supply artists with fluorescent paint to use in their pieces. Waterloo Arts will again be supplying artist with some fluorescent paint that they can use in their pieces. Entries will be made through online through judgify.me. To submit your qualifications go to https://www.judgify.me/DayGlo and create a profile and fill out the application. There is no entry fee to submit qualifications or create a profile in judgify.me.
