Join us for the unveiling and celebration of a new mural in Collinwood! Meet artist Megan Dardis and learn more about the mural project while enjoying light refreshments with friends and neighbors during this free community celebration. The mural & celebration is located at E 177th St and Grovewood Ave across from the The Salvation Army.
In Spring 2017, Cleveland Institute of Art student, Megan Dardis, received a grant from the school’s Creativity Works program to complete a mural in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland. Community partner, Waterloo Arts, assisted Dardis with securing a mural location across from the Temple Corp branch of The Salvation Army on a building owned by The Vanguards of Cleveland. Dardis developed a mural design that incorporates members of both groups and reflects her experience working in the Collinwood community. Over the summer, students from The Salvation Army summer camp helped Dardis bring the mural to life! For an opportunity to learn more about Megan Dardis and the community that inspired this mural, join us on Saturday, September 23 at noon on the lawn of The Salvation Army across from the mural at the corner of Grovewood Ave and East 177th Street, Cleveland, OH 44110.
