Cheryl A. Carter, director of development at the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, has been hired as the next executive director of Arts Collinwood. Carter replaces former executive director and Arts Collinwood founder Sarah Gyorki, who resigned in October to pursue other opportunities. Carter starts her new position in January. “We were simply astounded that, out of a group of such strong and qualified applicants, a single candidate could stand out from the crowd,” Bridget Caswell, Arts Collinwood board president, said in a statement Tuesday.
