Request for Proposals – Gold Building on Waterloo

The Collinwood community are working with the County Land Bank and Collinwood Nottingham Village Development Corp. to find a developer for the parcel on the corner of Waterloo Rd and E 156th Street, in the center of the Waterloo Arts and Entertainment District.  There is an existing commercial building on the property, commonly referred to as the “gold building.” Developers may propose the rehab of this structure or new construction, if the building were torn down by the current owner, according to the guidelines set forth in the RFP. Details and contact information can be found in the link below.

May I suggest that the building be renovated into a creative arts center to teach arts and crafts with a mentoring program for kids. Name it The Creative Oasis on the Lake.
