No Exit New Music Ensemble – Saturday, April 16 at 7pm

No Exit New Music Ensemble performs a wonderful evening of new work at Arts Collinwood Gallery this Saturday, April 16.

The performance begins at 7pm, and is FREE and Open to the Public.

No Exit is gearing up for it’s most ambitious series of concerts yet. The group was formed by Cleveland composer Timothy Beyer to serve as an outlet for the commission and performance of contemporary avant-garde concert music.

“ We’ve placed a strong focus on championing the work of both

talented young composers and spotlighting local composers who

represent the best that our region has to offer,” explains Beyer.

“Our goal is to present exciting programs to Northeast Ohioans,

music they’ve most likely never heard before. We really want to

challenge our listeners to experience music in a different way.”

To that end, No Exit’s April series of concerts promises to be a

truly unique musical happening. Beyer says, ” With this program

we want to create an environment in which our patrons can really

become immersed in what’s going on.”

The concerts will feature works by Morton Feldman, Andrew

Rindfleisch, Nicholas Underhill, Timothy Beyer, Kaija Saariaho

and two world premieres, both commissioned for No Exit – Steve

Antosca’s electro-acoustic piece Exit and a multi-media

collaboration between composers James Praznik and Derrik

Balogh titled Almost a New Man.
