Mother’s Day Music for Miles Concert: The Trillium Trio at Waterloo Arts on Sunday, May 8th at 4 PM

We welcome The Trillium Trio back to Waterloo Arts for the annual Mother’s Day Concert! The all female trio is comprised of: Gayle Getts, flute; Emily Lada, clarinet; and Lydia Byndas, bassoon. The Trillium Trio will play a diverse set including: Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, along with some entertaining musical surprises – A Whole New World (from Disney’s Aladdin), for instance, and some fun music related to the current events going on in our fabulous city of Cleveland.

Lane Cooper‘s artwork, which celebrates the strength of women, makes for a fitting back drop for this mother’s day concert! After the concert, enjoy lunch in the Callaloo Café or one of the many other lovely restaurants in the district and then take a stroll through the Waterloo Arts District. As always, the concert begins at 4 pm and includes a short intermission. The mood is casual, the musicians are chatty and the concert is free to the public!

May will be the last concert of the Spring season, but Music for Miles will return in September with the Tower City Brass Quintet, followed by the Silver Keys Clarinets in October and Joe Parker on sitar in November. CityMusic will also return in the autumn with a chamber group; the October soloist is Japanese and lives in Paris; it will be an interesting program.

M4M concerts are presented with the support of Local 4 Music Fund, the Music Performance Trust Fund, the Waterloo Arts Friends’ Committee, Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, and Ohio Arts Council.

Waterloo Arts is at 15605 Waterloo Road, corner of E 156th and Waterloo Road. contact: waterlooarts.org or (216) 692-9500.
