Details and timelines are included in the application. If you have reviewed the applications and you still have a question, please email our festival team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Each year the Waterloo Arts Fest has 7-10 stages, showcasing a wide-variety of music. We believe offering an array of music, attracts a great mix of people. We welcome applications from indie, folk, R&B, experimental, rap, rock, singer-song writer, classical, international, and any other musical act genre. Each musician, whether playing solo or in a band, is paid $50, up to a maximum of $250 for each band.
We welcome applications from our vibrant maker community. These booth spaces are reserved for vendors selling their own handmade goods.
There are 5000-7000 attendees each year to the festival and that’s a lot of mouths to feed! We encourage food vendors and food trucks who offer interesting, healthy, delicious food options to apply.
Park THIS! Parking Intervention Project
Demonstrate how our urban space could better favor social interaction, recreation, and artistic expression over auto traffic. This project invites artists, designers, activists, organizers, and community members to propose and stage the transformation of a 10’ x 20’ parking space along Waterloo Road. Each accepted proposal will receive a $500 stipend to offset the individual or team’s production and labor expenses.
We know there are terrific organizations working to make our communities better places to work, live and play. The Waterloo Arts Fest is a great place for people to learn about the services these groups offer. We mix our community booths with the other vendors throughout the event so they can engage with as many folks as possible. In keeping with the spirit of the festival, we ask that Community Booths provide a creative activity for festival attendees or provide a fun give-away. The festival team can help with ideas! Please note, while we know there are many small businesses doing good work in our communities, the Community Booth Application is for nonprofit organizations or small social service groups. Business booth spaces are offered at a higher sponsorship rate.
We couldn’t do this event without the help of our volunteer crew! Whether you want to lend a hand during the event or help with the planning stage, we appreciate you and your interest in contributing to community building. Please fill out the volunteer sign up and let us know. Feel free to sign up now and we will check in with you again, closer to the event, to confirm.
